Who Can Join?

  • Players currently competing in the 4th division or higher of the BN Bondscompetitie.
  • Players ranked in the top 30 of the Badminton Nederland National Youth Rankings (NJRB).
  • International Players who have played at an equivalent level or above. 

 

What are the Goals of the RTP Program?

 

1. High-Level Sparring

Train and spar with the best players in the region (mainly Noord-Brabant and Limburg( under the guidance of top coaches, fostering an environment for peak performance.

2. Aim for Eredivisie

Yes, this program is aimed to help the players and club aim to higher and possibly also in Bondscompetitie Eredivisie! With numerous clubs and talented players in Noord-Brabant and Limburg region, the RTP is a stepping stone for players to excel individually and help their clubs climb the BN Bondscompetitie ladder.

3. Prepare for National & International Competitions/Tournaments

For players aiming to compete at national and international levels, the RTP offers a best-in-class environment to sharpen skills and strategy.

 

Why do we need a RTP program?

 

  • Huge Potential to Excel as a Region: Noord-Brabant and Limburg are home to many promising young and adult players, as well as, ambitious clubs. When talents train together, it creates a win-win situation, leading to collective growth and better performance for the clubs in the Bondscompetitie.

  • Strength in Unity: By fostering collaboration among clubs, we can build stronger teams and create more competitive opportunities within the BN Bondscompetitie, benefiting everyone involved.

  • A Unified Vision: This program invites clubs and players to unite under a shared mission: fostering growth, achieving excellence, and ensuring the long-term success of badminton in Noord-Brabant and Limburg.

 

Who are the coaches and other players?

 

High-Quality Training

Led by RTC Head Coach Rick Steuten and former Eredivisie and National-level players. High-profile international players and/or coaches will be invited to visit and give specialised trainings.

 

Elite Sparring

Train alongside the selected players of RTC and represent the Netherlands in National and International Tournaments.

 

 

Program Details

  • Kick-off: 03-Feb-2025
  • Location: Indoor Sport Centrum, Eindhoven.
  • Schedule: Morning trainings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 07:15 to 09:15.
  • Offering Flexibility for talented players: Players may choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 days per week to join the training, to fit their schedule. Accordingly, they will contribute for their participation. It is always possible to change the preferences in the future.
  • Cost Contributions (including 9% BTW)
    • 1 training/week (Approx. 8 hours/month): €40.87/month
    • 2 trainings/week (Approx. 16 hours/month): €81.20/month
    • 3 trainings/week (Approx. 24 hours/month): €119.08/month
    • 4 trainings/week (Approx. 32 hours/month): €159.68/month
  • Commitment: Participation runs through the end of the season (June 2025). It is acceptable if you cannot participate for complete 2 hours, due to your work or school commitments. For younger players, you will need to make agreement with your school yourself, if & as needed.
  • Your federation number (BN ID) will be linked to Sport N Socialize (in addition to your current club, if any), enabling better communication and enhanced development support.

 

Key Information

  1. RTC Selection + Regional Talent Poule: 
    The Regional Talent Pool operates as an independent group, though both groups (RTC + RTP) will train and spar together, creating a unique environment that strengthens badminton at high levels in the region. 

  2. Limited Spots Available:
    Spaces in the Talent Pool are limited. If applications exceed available spots, RTC coaches will select players based on their motivation, commitment, and suitability for RTC-level training. The coaches may like to contact some players to understand their motivation.

  3. Admission: After your submit the form below, the RTC Head Coach and Sport N Socialize organisation will carefully evaluate your eligibility to participate. If required criteria are met, we will confirm your participation within 2 weeks.

  4. Option to Continue for 2025-26:
    At the end of the season (June 2025), players will have the option to continue or stop their participation. Similarly, RTC coaches will assess and confirm eligibility for the next season based on performance, dedication, and alignment with the program’s goals.

 

Other benefits: 

  • For high-level players who also aim to be (semi-) professional Badminton coaches, there could be possibilities in future to do internship or even work as a coach at RTC-EBA HUB.
